This brooch is inspired by vintage Japanese posters from the Showa era.

Its storytelling design depicts the fleeting moment between dusk and dawn.

At its center are a peacock, symbolizing the evening, and a rooster, representing daybreak, surrounded by delicate openwork patterns.

The subdued retro color palette is accented with an array of carefully hidden motifs, including a lizard, swallows, the sun, stars, and the moon.
