妖怪「一反木綿」をモチーフにした帯留め。

鹿児島県に古くから伝わる妖怪で、ひょろりと長い布のような見た目は一見無害そうですが、人間の頭や首に巻き付き、窒息させたり空へ連れ去ったりする恐ろしい存在としても知られています。

帯締めにすべり込み、するすると巻き付いていく様子をイメージしたユニークなデザインが印象的。

帯締めから伸びた布の端がひらひらと風になびく様子を表現した造形や、布の質感を再現したステッチの細やかな表現が、シンプルなデザインの中でアクセントになっています。

Obidome inspired by Ittanmomen, a yokai from Kagoshima known for its deceptively harmless appearance—a long, fluttering strip of cloth.

Despite its simple form, folklore describes it as a terrifying creature that wraps itself around a person’s head or neck, suffocating them or carrying them off into the sky.

The design imagines the yokai slipping beneath the obijime and coiling itself around it, creating a striking and playful visual.

The fluttering tip of the cloth is sculpted to look as though it’s swaying in the wind, while the fine stitch‑like details that mimic fabric texture add a subtle accent to the otherwise simple silhouette.
